This Privacy Policy explains how Mechanic Roster collects, uses, and protects information when you visit mechanicroster.com, search the directory, create an account, submit a review, claim or manage a business listing, or purchase featured placement. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, such as your name, email address, account details, business information, claim documents, profile text, reviews, and support requests. When you use the site, we may collect device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, search terms, pages viewed, referral information, and interactions such as calls, directions, claims, and checkout starts.

If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the basic account information you authorize, such as your verified email address, name, and account identifier. Mechanic Roster does not receive your Google password.

Location, cookies, and analytics

With your browser permission, Mechanic Roster may use your device location to show nearby mechanic shops. You can deny or revoke that permission in your browser. We use cookies and similar storage for sign-in, security, preferences, review abuse prevention, and site measurement. Google Analytics may receive usage information according to Google's own privacy terms. Business outreach emails may include personalized links and a small tracking image that record delivery engagement such as opens, clicks, claim submissions, and resulting featured-plan purchases. Email applications may block or preload images, so open data is approximate. Recipients can unsubscribe using the link in every outreach email.

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the directory, return relevant search results, maintain accounts and claimed listings, moderate reviews and submissions, prevent fraud and spam, process subscriptions, communicate about accounts and billing, measure demand, improve the site, and comply with law.

Payments and service providers

Subscription payments are processed through Stripe and charges may appear from Response 24 Hours. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Mechanic Roster. We may use hosting, email, security, analytics, mapping, authentication, and payment providers that process information only as needed to provide their services.

Sharing and public information

Published business listings, owner-approved profile text, service areas, and reviews are visible to the public. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers, to protect users and the site, in response to valid legal process, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and choices

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may update account and claimed-listing information from My Mechanic Roster. You may ask about access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@mechanicroster.com. Some records may be retained when required for security, billing, or law.

Children and changes

Mechanic Roster is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
