Connect your Tekmetric shop
Use your own Tekmetric-issued API credentials. Connection setup is available now; importing sales and deducting parts are not enabled yet.
How to request API access
Open Tekmetric’s official API documentation and follow its API Application link, or open the API application. Tell Tekmetric you want to connect your shop to Mechanic Roster for read-only repair-order and parts-usage access.
Ask for a Client ID and Client Secret, the correct environment (Sandbox or Production), and authorization for your shop. Tekmetric may require an approved integration partner rather than issuing credentials directly to each shop. An application does not guarantee approval.
I would like to connect my shop to Mechanic Roster for read-only access to posted repair orders and their parts quantities. Can you authorize my shop and provide API credentials, or advise whether Mechanic Roster must apply as an integration partner?
As checked October 11, 2026, Tekmetric’s documentation says new API applications are not being processed. Check their current notice for availability; no approval date is promised.
These are not your Tekmetric email and password. Do not send API secrets by email or support chat. No OAuth callback URL is required for the documented client-credentials flow.
For optional reservation syncing, also ask Tekmetric for appointment read, create and update permissions. Enable appointment sync separately in Reservation settings; the connection test itself remains read-only.
Sign in as the claimed shop’s owner to enter credentials. Staff and public demo accounts cannot configure a connection.
